Who can apply for a Nav Business Checking account?

Nav Business Checking is built for all kinds of small businesses. It’s tailored around the needs of LLCs, sole proprietors, freelancers, and independent workers who run their businesses on their own or with a small team.

To be eligible to apply, small business owners must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent U.S. resident

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Have a U.S.-based address

  • Have a mobile phone number from one of the major U.S. carriers

Depending on your business type, additional information may be required.

Some businesses including those in adult entertainment, cannabis, cryptocurrency, gaming, and online gambling industries are not eligible.

At this time, you have to be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent U.S. resident and have a U.S.-based address to be eligible for a Nav Business Checking account.

Which businesses are ineligible for a Nav Business Checking account?

Some businesses including those in the following industries are not eligible for a Nav Business Checking account at this time:

  • Adult entertainment

  • Cannabis

  • Cryptocurrency

  • Gaming

  • Online gambling

Why do I have to provide documents for verification?

Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. During the application process, we may ask you to provide personal and business documents to help verify the identity of you, your business and others in your business such as officers or beneficial owners.

How do I upload documents to apply for a Nav Business Checking account?
